At Torrance Early Years Centre, we believe that every child is unique, capable, and full of potential. Our vision is to grow together to be all we can be, with kindness, respect, honesty, and love at the heart of everything we do.
We are a nurturing, child-centred setting where relationships are at the core of our practice. We place great importance on building strong, trusting connections with our children, families, and wider community. These relationships create the foundation for every child to feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.
Our experienced staff team plan responsive provocations, experiences, and learning spaces that reflect each child’s individual interests, needs, and developmental stage. With a working ratio of 1 Early Years Worker to every 8 children and a capacity of 40 children, we ensure that every child receives the care, attention, and opportunities they need to thrive.
At Torrance Early Years Centre, we follow national guidance and best practice frameworks, including:
These principles, in line with the Care Inspectorate standards, underpin our approach and help us create a setting where every child can develop holistically, feeling safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected, responsible, and included.
Our environment is welcoming, nurturing, and engaging for all learners, designed to inspire exploration, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning. Together, we grow — nurturing hearts and minds to be the very best we can be.
