At Torrance Primary we love going to Acre Valley woods to explore, play and have fun. All classes go on a walk once a week for 4 weeks each term. We explore the natural environment through digging, building with natural materials and constructing things like swings using rope or building dens and huts. While there, we learn how trees and plants grow and recognise how trees help our lives.  We develop skills such as teamwork, cooperation, compromise, risk assessment, communication and perseverance.  It can be muddy so we wear waterproofs and wellies to keep us dry!
