In our setting children’s funded hours can be: 

8am – 12:45pm/5 days per week
1:15pm - 6pm/5 days per week
2 full days 8am to 5:30pm and1 half day 8am – 12:45pm or 1:15pm – 6pm 

Parents living within East Dunbartonshire can pay for extended day places.  Please view the Early Years section on East Dunbartonshire Council website for fees and further information.  Childcare packages are dependent on your needs and individual circumstances, please feel free to contact us if you require any further information.

The centre is open 50 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and in service days.  Extended Day/Year Holiday Calendar can be found on East Dunbartonshire Council website.  

The current working ratio in our centre is one adult to eight children and we have a capacity of 40 children. 

In our centre we work to provide an environment that is warm, caring and consistent so that your child can feel emotionally and socially secure.  We strive to be a place where your child will be accepted and valued for who they are at all times and a centre where children are free to explore, experiment, discover and learn.  Our Centre is a rich environment which allows time for each child to think and learn at their own pace.  Each child’s experience is unique; they have their own abilities, gifts and potential and we recognise this in all our children.  

The staff will sensitively direct each session in stimulating surrounding.  Here your child can enjoy self–selected activities which enable them to experiment with and discover aspects of their world.  With this approach to your child’s learning we can take what each child offers in their play, enjoy it, reinforce it and build on it to help them find fulfilment and a sense of achievement.

Your child is working as hard as any adult ever does.  Play is the natural way in which your child learns.  Well-planned, well thought out play activities enable your child to have the experiences in nursery that will lay the foundations for success in their future efforts to learn.
